There is an easy way for the Switch to locate a Joy-Con Controller if it has been lost. Click the gray Controllers button from the home screen. Next, click Find Controllers. From there, any Joy-Con/controller paired can vibrate at will. Grab the Switch and move around until you find the right one.
While the Switch technically offers an online service for players, it can still be difficult to play with friends. Each game is unique, so it’s important to contact your friends over text or in person to obtain their friend code. To locate a friend code click on your Mii image in the upper right of the home screen, then tap Add Friend. Tap Search with the Friend how to port games to switch Code, then enter their numbers. Your friend code can be seen in the lower left. Once you have made friends, you can both purchase the game you wish to play. Next, you can enter it and create an online room with your friends or join a battle. To play online multiplayer and to save your games to the cloud you will need to have a Nintendo Online account.
Once you’ve made Friends with someone (see below), you can speak with them via the Switch Online mobile phone application. Fortnite, Fortnite 2 and Fortnite 3 support on-console chat. For other Nintendo games, the Switch Online app will be required. To chat together, all players must have the app open. It is not the most intuitive system.

Joy-Cons live to their name. It was a joy to discover that my Joy-Con and Pro Controller could be paired with an Android phone. Even better, it works with Macs and Windows. You’ll need JoyToKey to properly map the buttons on Windows. They work because Nintendo uses Bluetooth for their connection. Simply hold the sync button on top of controllers for a few second and the lights on them should flash. This will let you know they are in pairing mode. They can be found in the Bluetooth menu of either your phone or computer.
If you are having difficulty using certain buttons or want to optimize your layout for better Hades times, you can now map any button on the Switch. You can change the button mapping by going to System Settings > Sensors and Controllers. This is where you can assign any button to another. It’s possible to swap ZL or ZR, as well as use one of these triggers for a jump button. You can also swap the left or right control sticks and change their default orientation.
The Switch OLED’s battery life is slightly longer than the original Switch due to its OLED screen that is comparatively more efficient, but it won’t last so long that you will need to check it every so often. You can adjust the volume and brightness of the Switch OLED while you play a game. The menu will open in a matter of seconds. The Switch can also show you the percentage of battery left in the upper right corner of your home screen. To do this, hold ZL or ZR together. Or toggle it permanently in Settings > Systems > Console Battery .
